Painting Wall w/ Mr. Mike

Friday and wednesday I worked with Mr. Mike and other students with the big project the school has going on with the improvement of our community Las Minas, we are painting the wall of their polideportivo where all the kids play baseball. It has been really fun since I do not take art class so it was a long time since I worked with paint and been so detailed about something. I really enjoyed it and I was pretty amazed of how detailed I am!

Elementary Language Day

For closure of the Language Week a group of high school students (me included) performed several skits in the morning in english and some short stories in spanish in the afternoon. The elementary kids were amazing and so much fun! They laughed and learned lessons from our skits and stories also about the authors and really enjoyed our acting. I think it was a great activity were I learn a lot from entertaining kids. I learned that keeping an activity simple also catch the kids' attention and entertainment! They really enjoyed it. :)

Vanas BB @ CIC

Girl's basketball VANAS was hosted by CIC this year, it was a lot of fun like always. The pressure was on as soon as we played our first game, and I have to recognize that i was not ready for such stress. The teams were tough and they were better at skills and fitness in comparison to us. We were a younger team in comparison and the preparation we've had was not as strong as it should have been, therefore i believe that next time we begin basketball season we should all be committed into having practices and getting better to finally win one of this basketball VANAS!

JMUN

The Junior Model United Nations was hosted by CIC once again, and I participated as one of the organizers of the event and got to learn what a position of leader ship is. It helped me a lot to realize that a lot of pressure comes on when being a leader and that you need to be strong to do lead people and a conference into success. I had a lot of fun and it was a bit crazy and amazing how much work it had to be done not only before the conference but also during the conference.

THIMUN

In January, i had the privilege to represent my school in The Hague International Model United Nations where I was a delegate in the committee of Human Rights and was the head delegation, which means I lead my school's delegation in the General Assembly. The experience was amazing and I really learned a lot of Model United Nations. I realize how important it is for us to discuss everything on the world because it is our future and we will have to deal with it when we grow up. I felt amazed about how international schools around the world get together and you get to meet a lot of people and discuss very important issues.
